On 10/15, the Lynbrook varsity football team won their homecoming conference game against Valley Stream North (Franklin Square, NY) by a score of 47-21. Lynbrook rushed for 302 total yards as a team, led by Michael Fagen's 189 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries. Fagen's 73-yard run in the fourth quarter to help seal Lynbrook's Nassau III win. In the air, Fagen threw a 63-yard touchdown to Ryan Shapiro in the first quarter for Lynbrook (3-3). Chris Benson rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries. On the defensive end, Ramon Calderon made 10 tackles and one sack, and Chris Volpe had an interception. On special teams, Jaylin Walker had over 100 yards of return yards and added a 14-yard touchdown run on offense.
The Owls (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Division (Levittown, NY). The Blue Dragons come into the Section 8 Conference III challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Division was beaten by Bethpage (Bethpage, NY), 40-8, in a league challenge.
